I did this like 5 minutes ago. I think its pretty, and its cool to watch.
As of right now, I am entirely confused.
So, I’m about 30 minutes into tumblr and I have no idea how I’m supposed to search for friends, which is probably an important thing. I keep typing names, and all I get are gigantic squares covering the page with smooshed up text.
Last week I signed up on twitter. Now that I am entirely used to twitter (and following Tyra Banks), someone mentions that I should get a tumblr. Here I am, being a pushover for my peers, trying to stay current, but at the same time I figure that the Mac kids are already typing away on their teeny tiny keyboards and uploading to something more sophicticated. :-\
I am liking tumblr so far. It reminds me of blogger, aside from the difficulty it took to actually do something on blogger. I think it will allow me a little more privacy and a lot more room to write. Sometimes on facebook and myspace I feel like everyone and their mother (literally) can read what I’m posting… and to be perfectly honest, some times my posts aren’t exactly appropriate for people’s mothers, or anyone that feels a responsibility over me. Plus, there aren’t any obnoxious ads to be distracted by, or any applications, so you get down to a more pointed blog that doesn’t get lost in the status and application updates.
What would be great is if I could figure out how to get things sent to my cell as an SMS message, and also not get update e-mails.
